Experience

Ron joined the firm in 2004 as a trainee and became an associate in 2005.

Ron is actively involved in matters concerning Public Procurement, Aviation Law, Employment and Industrial Relations, Information Technology, Energy and General Commercial Law.

Ron's experience in the field of Public Procurement includes advice to local government entities and other local contracting entities, as well as international companies. Ron has been involved in oil exploration and extraction projects, as well as projects for the procurement of energy from renewable sources. Been actively involved in a number of IT procurement projects on behalf of the Government of Malta, including the procurement of the National Identity Management System (NIDMS); and the Integrated Utilities Billing System (IUBS);

In the area of employment law and real estate, Ron provides regular advice to a number of local medium-sized and large companies, as well as to international entities having a presence in Malta.

Ron's practice encompasses EC and Maltese competition law, state aid and the economic regulation of utilities.

After having researched his thesis on aviation law and airport installations at University La Sapienza, in Rome, Ron provides ongoing advice to Malta's only international airport.

Ron also represents Malta International Airport p.l.c. on the policy committee of the Airports Council International (Europe).
