In view of our exposure to capital markets work in Malta, when acting for a number of companies having securities listed on the Malta Stock Exchange, we are regularly called upon to support our clients in their compliance functions with applicable listing rules and generally assisting them in creating and maintaining appropriate governance structures. In line with the increasing importance of corporate governance, and as part of our service in assisting with the setting up and running of compliance structures and procedures necessary to meet ever-increasing regulatory demands, we place great importance on providing sound advice on governance matters.  To this end, apart from advising clients in the setting up of appropriate compliance structures to deal with ever increasing regulatory demands, we have set up a specialised branch within the practice - the Corporate Support Services & Compliance Unit – to assist boards of directors and their committees on a day to day basis in all aspects of statutory compliance and corporate governance.

Camilleri Preziosi was actively involved in the Malta Stock Exchange Working Group formed to draw up the Code of Conduct on Corporate Governance for Listed Companies. Our Corporate and Support Services & Compliance Unit in fact assists a number of locally-listed companies to carry out compliance work in line with the Listing Rules issued by the Listing Authority. The firm also acts as the company secretary of four companies listed on the Malta Stock Exchange.
