We advise on transactions and banking operations having both domestic and international dimensions, particularly in relation to syndicated finance, project finance, commercial banking, investment banking, acquisition finance and offshore banking.

We are also instructed frequently by foreign banks to advise in relation to the possible financing of local entities. We are often involved in structured finance transactions and securitisations, where major international banks using Malta as part of an international structure look to engage a Maltese firm to handle all local aspects and to contribute to the client team. Our involvement in these transactions has included conducting due diligence exercises, reviewing disclosure documents, the drafting and preparation of transaction documents and the rendering of legal opinions on Maltese law with reference to transaction structures and documentation.
