About US
EU law

Guiding clients through the myriad of existing, revised and newly-introduced legislation of the European Union, and explaining the effects of Directives implemented in Maltese law, is an essential part of our day-to-day practice.

From well before Malta’s accession to the EU in May 2004, the firm has deemed it essential, given the influence on and application of EU law to virtually every commercial sphere, to keep clients abreast with continual developments.  In particular, we have focused on: decisions of the Commission; judgements of the European Court of Justice; the application of Treaty provisions, legal instruments and jurisprudence guarding the four essential freedoms afforded to EU members; banking and financial services regulation; and telecommunications regulation.

We have also advised the Government of Malta in connection with the alignment of certain local laws with the requirements of the acquis communautaire.
