We have gained considerable experience in mediation proceedings; an innovative and relatively recent form of dispute resolution whereby an independent and impartial person intervenes super partes in a dispute which could give rise to proceedings, or, in proceedings between the parties which have already been instituted, such intervention is made with a view to guide the parties towards a settlement. One of the partners at the firm, Louis de Gabriele, currently holds the post of Chairman of the Malta Mediation Centre - the body set up in order to raise awareness of the fundamentals of the Mediation Act and to encourage the use of this alternative means of dispute resolution.
