Legislation regulating employment and industrial relations in Malta has become increasingly complex over the years. One of the areas which has been given most importance in this respect is law regulating occupational health and safety. We have recognised that compliance with laws and standards on workplace health and safety requires specialised knowledge of the applicable statutes, the relevant industries, and the state agencies responsible for rulemaking and enforcement.

Employers have substantial duties under these laws to ensure the safety of people in the workplace. Through training and consultation, we can assist employers to better appreciate the increasingly taxing responsibilities of employers with respect to the health and safety of their employees, as well as to understand their own rights and obligations and those of others who come into the workplace.
